Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 12 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 26 sts (6 + 12 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 12 sts wide.

Begin with edge st and 6 sts before patt rep, work patt rep throughout, end with 6 sts after patt and edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Row 1: edge st, skpo, yo, k4, * k4, yo, k2tog, skpo, yo, k4, repeat from * to last 7 sts, k4, yo, k2tog, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k1, skpo, yo, k3, * k3, yo, k2tog, k2, skpo, yo, k3 repeat from * to last 7 sts, k3, yo, k2tog, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k2, skpo, yo, k2, * k2, yo, k2tog, k4, skpo, yo, k2, repeat from * to last 7 sts, k2, yo, k2tog, k2, edge st.
