Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 6 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 14 sts (6 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, purl all sts and yo's, working (p1, p1 tbl) into each 2yo.

The pat rep = 6 sts wide.

Repeat patt between edge stitches throughout.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

1/2 Right Cross: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K1, K2 from cable needle

1/2 Left Cross: slip 1 st to cable needle, hold to front, K2, K1 from cable needle

2-st LT: knit 2nd st from behind without dropping from LH needle, knit first, drop both sts from LH needle together

Row 1: edge st, * yo, skpo, k2, k2tog, yo, repeat from * to the end of row, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k1, yo, skpo, k2tog, yo, k1, repeat from * to the end of row, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k2, 2-st LT, k2, repeat from * to the end of row, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * 1/2 Right Cross, 1/2 Left Cross, repeat from * to the end of row, edge st.

Row 9: knit all sts.

Repeat Rows 1-10 throughout.
