Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 20 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 22 sts (20 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 20 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: knit all sts.

Row 3: edge st, * k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k5, skpo, k2tog, k5, yo, k1, yo, skpo, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * k2tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k4, skpo, k2tog, k4, yo, k1, yo, k1, skpo, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k3, skpo, k2tog, k3, yo, k1, yo, k2, skpo, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * k2tog, k3, yo, k1, yo, k2, skpo, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k3, skpo, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, * k2tog, k4, yo, k1, yo, k1, skpo, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k4, skpo, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 13: edge st, * k2tog, k5, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k5, skpo, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-14 throughout.
