Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 8 + 1 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 19 sts (1 + 8 + 8 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows RS rows and WS rows.

Read RS row from right to left, WS row from left to right.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

p2tog: purl 2 stitches together

p2tog tbl: purl two stitches together as one stitch through the back loop

Rows 1 and 3: knit all stitches.

Rows 2 and 4: purl all stitches.

Row 5: edge st, k1, * k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k2, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 6: edge st, * p1, p2tog tbl, yo, p3, yo, p2tog, repeat from * to last 2 sts, p1, edge st.
