How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 8 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 18 sts (8 + 8 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 8 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, * k4, yo, k1, skpo, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * k1, k2tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, skpo, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * yo, k1, skpo, k5, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * k1, yo, k1, skpo, k1, k2tog, k1, yo, repeat from *, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
