Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 9 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 14 sts (9 + 3 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The pat rep = 9 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Row 1: edge st, * p3, k4, k2tog, yo, repeat from * to last 4 sts, p3, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * p3, k3, k2tog, k1, yo, repeat from * to last 4 sts, p3, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p3, k2, k2tog, k2, yo, repeat from * to last 4 sts, p3, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * p3, yo, skpo, k4, repeat from * to last 4 sts, p3, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * p3, yo, k1, skpo, k3, repeat from * to last 4 sts, p3, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, * p3, yo, k2, skpo, k2, repeat from * to last 4 sts, p3, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.
