Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Work with multiple of 12 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 17 sts (12 + 3 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The pat rep = 12 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Rows 1 and 3: edge st, * p3, skpo, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, k2tog, repeat from * to last 4 sts, p3, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (k the k sts and p the p sts), purl yo's.

Rows 5 and 7: edge st, * p3, yo, skpo, k5, k2tog, yo, repeat from * to last 4 sts, p3, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
