Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch:

Multiple of 10 + 1 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 23 sts (5 + 10 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 10 sts wide.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

Row 1: edge st, yo, skpo, k1, yo, skpo, * k1, k2tog, yo, k2, yo, skpo, k1, yo, skpo, repeat from * to 7 sts, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, k2tog, yo, edge st.

Row 2 and every even row: purl all sts and yo’s.

Row 3: edge st, k1, yo, skpo, k1, yo, * sk2p, yo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k1, yo, repeat from * to 8 sts, sk2p, yo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k2, yo, skpo, k1, * k2, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, k1, repeat from * to 7 sts, k2, k2tog, yo, k2, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-6 throughout.
