How to knit Lace Heart Pattern:

Work with a multiple of 10 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 23 stitches (5 + 10 + 6 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side Rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, purl all sts and yarn-over loops.

The patt rep = 10 sts wide.

Horizontally, begin with 1 edge stitch and 5 stitches before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 6 stitches after patt and 1 edge stitch.

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1 (right side): Knit.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.
