Lace Heart Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Heart Stitch:

Work with multiple of 14 stitches + 3 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 19 sts (1 + 14 + 2 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On Wrong Side rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 14 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with 2 sts after patt and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 1: knit all stitches.

Row 3: edge st, k1, * k7, yo, skpo, k5, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k2, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k1, * k4, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, k3, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k2, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, k1, * k2, (k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k1) twice, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k2, edge st

Row 11: edge st, k1, * k1, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, cdd, yo, k3, yo, skpo, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k2, edge st.
