Lace Checker Stitch Knitting Pattern
How to knit Lace Checker Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 4 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 19 sts (4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.
The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.
The numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows, and at left edge WS rows.
The patt rep = 4 sts wide.
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch
Rows 1, 3 and 7 (RS): knit all sts.
Rows 2 and 4 (WS): edge st, p2, k1, * p3, k1 *; repeat from * to *; ending with p2, edge st.
Row 5: edge st, k2tog, yo, * k1, yo, cdd, yo *; repeat from * to *; ending with k1, yo, skpo, edge st.
Rows 6 and 8: edge st, k1, * p3, k1 *; repeat from * to *; ending with edge st.
Row 9: edge st, * k1, yo, cdd, yo *; repeat from * to *; ending with k1, edge st.
Work rows 1-9 once, then repeat rows 2-9 throughout.
