Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Cable Stitch:

Work with multiple of 9 stitches + 7 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 18 sts (1 + 9 + 6 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.

The pat rep = 9 sts wide.

Begin with edge st and st before patt, work patt rep throughout, end with 6 sts after patt rep and edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

C4F: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to front, K2, K2 from cable needle

Row 1: edge st, k1, * yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, C4F, repeat from * to last 7 sts, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, edge st.

Row 2: purl all sts and yo's.

Row 3: edge st, k1, * k1, yo, cdd, yo, k5, repeat from * to last 7 sts, yo, cdd, yo, k2, edge st.

Row 4: purl all sts and yo's.

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.
