How to knit Honeycomb Stitch:

Multiple of 4 sts + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 18 sts (4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows RS rows and WS rows.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 4 sts wide.

2-st RTp: purl 2nd st without dropping from LH needle, purl first, drop both sts from LH needle together

2-st LTp: purl 2nd st from behind without dropping from LH needle, purl first, drop both sts from LH needle together

2-st RT: knit 2nd st without dropping from LH needle, knit first, drop both sts from LH needle together

2-st LT: knit 2nd st from behind without dropping from LH needle, knit first, drop both sts from LH needle together

Row 1 (RS): edge st, * 2-st LT, 2-st RT, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 2 (WS): edge st, * k1, 2-st RTp, k1, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, * 2-st RT, 2-st LT, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 4: edge st, p1, * k2, 2-st LTp, repeat from * to last 4 sts, k2, p1, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.
