Fancy Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Fancy Stitch:

Work with multiple of 14 sts + 3 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 19 sts (14 + 3 + 2 edge sts) and work according to the chart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On Wrong Side Rows, work all sts as they appear; work yo's Purl.

The patt rep = 14 sts wide. 

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt repeat throughout, end with 3 sts after patt and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1: edge st, * p3, yo, skpo, p3, k1, p3, k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *, ending with p3, edge st.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: work each stitch as it appears on this side of work (k the k sts and p the p sts), work yo's Purl.

Row 3: edge st, * p3, yo, k1, skpo, p2, k1, p2, k2tog, k1, yo *; repeat from * to *, ending with p3, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, * p3, yo, k2, skpo, p1, k1, p1, k2tog, k2, yo *; repeat from * to *, ending with p3, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, * p3, yo, k3, skpo, k1, k2tog, k3, yo *; repeat from * to *, ending with p3, edge st.

Repeat rows 1-8 throughout.
