Fancy Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Fancy Stitch:

Work with a multiple of 4 sts + 3 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 13 (4 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

The chart shows only Right Side rows.

On Wrong Side rows, purl all sts.

The patt rep = 4 sts wide. 

Begin with 1 edge st, work patt repeat throughout, end with 3 sts after patt and 1 edge st.

Row 1: knit all stithes.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: purl all sts.

Rows 3, 5 and 7: edge st, * slip 3 pwise, leave yarn at front of work, k1 *; repeat from * to *, slip 3 pwise, leave yarn at front of work, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, * k1, insert the right needle under the 3 front horizontal strands and into the next stitch and knit them together, k2 *; repeat from * to *, k1, insert the right needle under the 3 front horizontal strands and into the next stitch and knit them together, k1, edge st.

Rows 11, 13 and 15: edge st, k2, * slip 3 pwise, leave yarn at front of work, k1 *; repeat from * to *, k1, edge st.

Row 17: edge st, k2, * k1, insert the right needle under the 3 front horizontal strands and into the next stitch and knit them together, k2 *; repeat from * to *, k1, edge st.

Work Rows 1-18 once, then repeat Rows 3-18 throughout.
