Fancy Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Fancy Stitch:

Multiple of 16 + 2 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 20 sts (1 + 16 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to the chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work sts as they appear.

The pat rep = 16 sts wide.

2-st RT: knit 2nd st without dropping from LH needle, knit first, drop both sts from LH needle together

2-st LT: knit 2nd st from behind without dropping from LH needle, knit first, drop both sts from LH needle together

C2BP: Slip 1 st to cn, hold to back, K1, P st from cn

C2FP: Slip 1 st to cn, hold to front, P1, K st from cn

Row 1: edge st, p1, * p5, 2-st LT, p3, C2FP, 2-st LT twice, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, p1, * p4, 2-st RT, 2-st LT, p3, C2FP, 2-st LT, p1, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, p1, * p3, 2-st RT twice, 2-st LT, p3, C2FP, p2, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, p1, * p2, 2-st RT twice, C2BP, C2FP, p6, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, p1, * p1, 2-st RT twice, C2BP, p2, C2FP, p5, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.

Row 11: edge st, p1, * 2-st RT twice, C2BP, p3, 2-st RT, p5, repeat from * to the last 2 sts, p1, edge st.
