How to knit Relief Stitch:

Multiple of 11 + 4 + 2 edge sts.

Cast on 17 sts (11 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to сhart.

RS row and WS row are shown.

Read RS row from right to left, WS row from left to right.

The pat rep = 11 sts.

Row 1: edge st, * K4, (slip 1 pwise, leave yarn at back of work, K1) 3 times, slip 1 pwise, leave yarn at back of work, repeat from *, end with K4, edge st.

Row 2: edge st, K4, * (slip 1 pwise, leave yarn at front of work, K1) 4 times, K3, repeat from *, edge st.

Row 3: knit all sts.

Row 4: purl all sts.

Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.
