Diamond Relief Stitch Knitting Pattern
How to knit Diamond Relief Stitch:
Multiple of 4 + 2 edge sts.
Cast on 14 sts (4 + 4 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only RS rows.
On WS rows, purl all sts.
The pat rep = 4 sts wide.
Row 1: edge st, * p3, slip wyif (= slip 1 pwise, leave yarn at front of work), repeat from *, edge st.
Row 3: knit all sts.
Row 5: edge st, * p1, slip wyif, p1, lift 1 front horizontal strand and p2tog with the next st, repeat from *, edge st.
Row 7: knit all sts.
Row 9: edge st, * p1, lift 1 front horizontal strand and p2tog with the next st, p1, slip wyif, repeat from *, edge st.
Work rows 1-10 once, then repeat rows 3-10 throughout.
