Diamond Honeycomb Knitting Pattern

How to knit Diamond Honeycomb:

Work with multiple of 6 stitches + 5 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 19 sts (1 + 6 + 6 + 4 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.

The numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows, and at left edge WS rows.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

The pat rep = 6 sts wide.

slip wyib3: slip 3 pwise, leave yarn at back of work

slip wyib3: slip 3 pwise, leave yarn at front of work

K1 under horizontal strands: Insert needle under the front horizontal strands and knit the next stitch

Row 1 (RS): knit all stithes.

Row 2 (WS): edge st, k1, slip wyib3, * k3, slip wyib3, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, p1, * slip wyif3, p3, repeat from * to last 5 sts, slip wyif3, p1, edge st.

Row 4: purl all stitches.

Row 5: knit all stithes.

Row 6: purl all stitches.

Row 7: edge st, k1, * k1, K1 under horizontal strands, k4, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k1, K1 under horizontal strands, k2, edge st.

Row 8: edge st, k4, * slip wyib3, k3, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1, edge st.

Row 9: edge st, p1, * p3, slip wyif3, repeat from * to last 5 sts, p4, edge st.

Row 10: purl all stitches.

Row 11: knit all stithes.

Row 12: purl all stitches.

Row 13: edge st, k1, * k4, K1 under horizontal strands, k1, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k4, edge st.

Work rows 1-13 once, then repeat rows 2-13 throughout.
