How to knit:

Cast on 44 stitches + 2 selvage sts and work according to chart.

RS rows and WS rows are shown.

Read RS rows from right to left, WS rows from left to right.

Central Stitch = 40 sts wide.

Begin with 1 selv st and P2, work 40 sts Central Stitch, end with P2 and 1 selv st.

Repeat Rows 1-10 throughout.

Cable Stitch (8 sts): Work rows 1-10 once, then rep rows 3-6 throughout.
