Sideways Pullover in Fancy Pattern
Sizes: 8/10 (US 6/8).
Materials:
Yarn: 250 g (100% cotton, yardage = 175 m/50 g); one pair quick knit needles size 3,5 mm (US 4) and crochet hook size 3,5 mm (US E).
Stocking stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P.
Eyelet pattern:
Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Repeat Rows 1 - 4 throughout.
Fancy pattern:
Work according to charts 2 and 3. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
Gauge:
in Fancy Pattern: 23 sts and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
The pullover is worked side to side from the left sleeve to the right.
Cast on 82 sts and cont as foll: selv st, 7 sts in Fancy Patt (beg with 12th stitch), * 10 sts in St st, 18 sts in Fancy Patt, rep from * once more, 10 sts in St st, 7 sts in Fancy Patt (beg with 1st stitch), selv st.
Sleeve shaping: On Row 5 from beg, inc 1 stitch at both ends, then 1 stitch every 4th row 10 times, 1 stitch every 2nd row 3 times, 2 sts 3 times, 3 sts 3 times, 5 sts once = 150 sts.
Side Shaping: On Row 71 from beg, cast on 50 sts at each end = 250 sts.
Neckline Shaping: On Row 102 from beg, divide the work in the middle and work each side separately.
Back (over 125 sts):
Neckline Shaping: On Row 103 from beg, bind off 2 sts once, then 1 stitch every other row twice at neck edge = 121 sts.
Next, on Row 186 from beg, inc 1 stitch once, then 1 stitch every other row once, 2 sts once = 125 sts.
Place sts on a holder.
Front (over 125 sts):
Neckline Shaping: On Row 103 from beg, bind off 2 sts once, then 1 stitch every other row twice at neck edge = 121 sts.
Next, on Row 186 from beg, inc 1 stitch once, then 1 stitch every other row once, 2 sts once = 125 sts.
Place the sts on holder to needle = 250 sts and work in reverse.
On Row 288 from beg, bind off all sts.
Finishing:
Join side and sleeve seams.
With crochet hook, work 1 row crab st (= sc from left to right) evenly around neckline, bottom edges of sleeves, front and back.
