Short Sleeve Pullover in Fancy Pattern

Sizes: 12/14 (US 10/12)

Materials:

Yarn: 350 g (45% Wool, 55% Acrylic, yardage = 250 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needlessize US 6 (4 mm) and crochet hook size 2 mm (US B). 

Rib Pattern: K1, P1 Rib.

Stockinette stitch (St st): RS rows k, WS rows p.

Fancy Pattern: multiple of 20 sts + 1.

Work according to chart. RS and WS rows are shown.

Repeat Rows 1-32 throughout.

Gauge: 22 sts and 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: 

Cast on 104 sts and work 18 Rows in Rib Patt for border, inc 1 stitch on the last WS row = 100 sts + 1 + 2 selv sts. 

Then work 104 rows in Fancy pattern. 

Armhole Shaping: On Row 105 from border, bind off 4 sts at each end, then 3 sts every other row once, 2 sts once and 1 stitch twice = 81 sts.  

On Row 159 from beg, bind off all sts.

Front: 

Work as given for back except for neckline. 

Neckline Shaping: On Row 145 from border, bind off center 19 sts and 3 sts every other row twice, 2 sts once and 1 stitch 3 times at both neck edges. 

On Row 159 from border, bind off rem 20 shoulder sts.

Sleeves:

Cast on 72 sts and work 14 Rows in Rib Patt for border, inc 3 st on the last WS row = 75 sts.

Cont as foll: selv st, 6 sts in St st, 61 sts in Fancy Patt, 6 sts in St st, selv st.

Cap Shaping: On Row 37 from border, bind off 4 sts at each end, then on every 2nd row 3 sts once, 2 sts 3 times, 1 stitch 15 times, 3 sts twice.  

On Row 81 from border, bind off rem 7 sts.

Finishing:

Join shoulder and side seams.

Sew sleeve seams and set in sleeves.

With crochet hook, work 1 row crab st (= sc from left to right) evenly around neck edge, ending with ss (slip stitch).
