Pullover with Star Pattern

Size: 8 (US 6).

Materials:

Yarn: 300 g (80% Mohair, 20% Acrylic, yardage = 200m / 100g), 300 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, 280m / 100g); one pair quick knit needles size 4 mm (US 6).

Rib Patt: alt K2, P2.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Basic Pattern:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Repeat Rows 1-34 throughout.

Star Pattern:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.

Back:

With woollen yarn, cast on 110 sts and work 16 cm in Rib Patt, inc 32 sts evenly across last row.

Cont in Basic Patt.

Neckline shaping: When piece measures 56 cm from cast on, bind off center 30 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at neckline edge, bind off 5 sts twice and 2 sts twice on every 2nd row.

When piece measures 59 cm from cast on, bind off all sts.

Front:

With woollen yarn, cast on 110 sts and work 16 cm in Rib Patt, inc 32 sts evenly across last row.

Cont in Basic Patt.

Neckline shaping: When piece measures 51 cm from cast on, bind off center 30 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at neckline edge, bind off 5 sts twice and 2 sts twice on every 2nd row.

When piece measures 59 cm from cast on, bind off all sts.

Sleeves:

Cast on 40 sts and work 20 cm in Rib Patt, inc 19 sts evenly across last row.

With mohair yarn, cont in Star Pattern.

For sleeve shaping, inc 1st at each end on every 6th row.

When piece measures 60 cm from cast on, bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Join shoulder seams.

Join side seams leaving armhole openings.

Sew sleeve seams, then sew sleeves into armholes.

Pick up sts evenly around neck edge and work 4 cm in Rib Patt, then bind off all sts.
