Pullover with Side Slants and Cable Pattern

Sizes: 10/12 (US 8/10).

Materials:

Yarn: 500 g (85% Acrylic, 15% Alpaca, yardage = 200 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles sizes 6 mm (US 10) and one circular needle size 5 mm (US 8).

Rib Pattern: alt K1, P1 Rib.  

Stockinette stitch (St st): K on RS rows, p on WS rows. 

Tubular Rib Pattern: 

Row 1: K1, * sl 1 st pwise, K1, rep from *. 

Row 2 and further rows: K1, * sl 1 st pwise, wyif, K1, rep from *.   

Fancy Pattern: work according to charts.  

Gauge:

15 sts and 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm over St st with 6 mm needles. 

Back:

Cast on 80 sts and work in St st.  

Dec 1 st 10 times each side every 8th row.  

After 48 cm from cast on work in Fancy Pattern acc to chart for back. 

Chart only shows half of back. Work other half in reverse.

Finish piece acc to chart. 

Front:

Work in Fancy Pattern acc to chart for front. 

Chart only shows half of front. Work other half in reverse. 

Finish piece acc to chart. 

Sleeves:

Using needles size 6 mm, cast on 52 sts and work in Rib Patt. 

After 1.5 cm from cast on cont in Fancy Pattern acc to chart for sleeve. 

Chart only shows half of sleeve. Work other half in reverse. 

Finish piece acc to chart.

Sides:

Using needles size 6 mm, cast on 10 sts and work in Fancy Pattern acc to chart for sides. 

Finishing:

Join raglan seams. 

With circular needle, pick up 88 sts evenly around neck edge and work in Rib Patt. 

After 3 cm from cast on, bind off sts. 

Sew side and sleeve seams. 

With circular needle, pick up 136 sts evenly around lower edge of pullover and work 8 rnds in Tubular Rib Pat. Bind off all sts.
