Pullover with Low Sleeves
Size: 10/12 (14/16)
Materials:
Yarn: 450 (500) g (100% Wool, yardage = 120 m/50 g); quick knit needles sizes 5, 5.5 and 6 mm (US 8, 9 and 10).
Rib Pattern 1 (6 mm needles): odd number of sts.
RS row: P2, * K1, P1, rep from *, K1, P2.
On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.
Rib Pattern 2 (5 mm needles): selv st, * K1, P1, rep from *, selv st.
St st (5.5 mm needles): K on RS rows, P on WS rows.
Rev st st: P on RS rows, K on WS rows.
Diagonal Cable Pattern (6 mm needles): Multiple of 36 + 9 (19) + 2 selv sts.
Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.
Beg with 1 selv st and sts before rep patt 1, 3 x rep patt 1, 3 center sts, 3 x rep patt 2, end with sts after rep patt 2 and 1 selv st.
Work rows 1 - 38 once, then rep rows 3 - 38 throughout.
Pattern sequence:
102 (112) rows of Diagonal Cable Pattern, 18 rows of Rib Pattern 1 = 120 (130) rows.
Accentuated decreases:
On right side: selv st, K1, skpo (= sl 1 kwise, K1, pass slipped stitch over).
On left side: K2tog, K1, selv st.
Gauge:
over Diagonal Cable Pattern: 22.5 sts and 30 rows = 10 x 10 сm;
over St st: 23 sts and 31.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
over Rib Pattern 1: 22.5 sts and 28 rows = 10 x 6.5 cm;
over Rib Pattern 2: 25 sts and 10 rows = 10 x 3.5 cm.
Back:
Long-tail cast on 119 (129) sts.
Work acc to pattern sequence.
Shoulder Slants: After 24 cm from cast on (72 rows), at each end bind off 1 st once and on every 2nd row 1 st 23 (28) times using accentuated decrease = 71 sts.
After 40.5 cm = 120 rows (44 сm = 130 rows) from cast on, bind off rem 71 sts.
Front: Work same as back.
Sleeves:
Cast on 50 (52) sts and work 3.5 cm (10 rows) in Rib Pattern 2 for band. On the last row inc 16 sts evenly spaced across = 66 (68) sts.
Cont in St st.
For sleeve slants, at each end inc 1 st once on Row 31 (19), then inc 1 st 8 times on every 10th row (12 times on overy 6th and 8th rows alt) = 84 (94) sts.
After 38 cm = 120 rows (35 сm = 110 rows) from band, bind off all sts.
Finishing:
Sew in sleeves at beg of shoulder slant.
Sew side, sleeve and rem seams to upper edge of pullover.
