Pullover with Lace Cables

Sizes: 8/10, 12/14, 16/18, 20/22 (US 4/6, 8/10, 12/14, 16/18).

Materials:

Yarn: 350 (400-450) 500 g (66% Cotton, 12% Wool, 22% Polyamide, yardage = 145 m / 50 g); one pair knit needles size 5 mm (US 8) and one circular needle size 4.5 mm (US 7) 60 cm long.

Rib Pattern: alt K1, P1.

Stockinette stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.

On rnds work all sts K. 

Lace Pattern:

Work according to chart over 23 sts. 

Rep rows rep between arrows on Rows 1-38 continuously. Rep Lace Panels rep (highlighted grey) on Rows 1-4. 

Accentuated decreases:

At right end: selv st, K1, K2tog; 

at left end: skpo (= sl 1 kwise, K1, pass slipped stitch over), K1, selv st.

Gauge:

over St st: 20 sts and 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm; 

over Lace Pattern: 23 sts = 11 cm.

Back:

Using 5 mm needles and double long-tail cast on, cast on 101 (109-117-125) sts and purl 1 WS row and 10 rows in Rib Patt (beg with K1 after selv st) for band = 4 cm.  

Cont as foll: selv st, 38 (42–46–50) sts in St st, 23 sts in Lace Pattern, 38 (42–46–50) sts in St st, selv st. 

When piece measures 39,5 (38–36,5–35) cm = 106 (102–98–94) rows from rib, for armhole shaping, bind off 4 (5-6-7) sts once at each end.

Raglan Shaping: Using accentuated decs, at each end dec 1 st 23 (25–28–29) times on every 2nd row.

After 17.5 (19–20.5–22) cm = 48 (52–56–60) rows from raglan beg, place rem 47 (49-51-53) sts on holder.

Front: Same as back.

Sleeves:

Using 5 mm needles and double long-tail cast on, cast on 71 (77–83–91) sts and purl 1 WS row and 10 rows in Rib Patt (beg with K1 after selv st) = 4 cm.  

Cont as foll: selv st, 23 (26–29–33) sts in St st, 23 sts in Lace Pattern (beg with Row 1 (35-31-27) of chart), 23 (26–29–33) sts in St st, selv st. 

When piece measures 11.5 cm = 30 rows from rib, bind off 4 (5-6-7) sts once at each end.

Raglan Shaping: at each end dec 1 st once on foll 2nd row and 1 st 11 (12-13-14) more times on every 4th row. 

After 17.5 (19–20.5–22) cm = 48 (52–56–60) rows from raglan beg, place rem 39 (41–43–47) sts on holder.

Finishing:

Place sts of front, back and sleeves onto circular needle = 172 (180-188-200) sts, and work in rnds in Rib Patt for band.

On Row 1, work first 2 sts of back tog kwise, first and last 2 sts of Lace Pattern tog pwise, and last 2 sts tog kwise tbl; 

on sleeves, work first and last 2 sts tog pwise, and first and last 2 sts of Lace Pattern tog kwise;

on front, work first 2 sts tog kwise, first and last 2 sts of Lace Pattern tog pwise, and last 2 sts tog kwise tbl = 156 (164-172-184) sts.  

Cont until band meas 2 cm = 6 rows. Bind off sts on last row using tapestry needle. 

Close raglan seams. 

Sew side and sleeve seams.
