Pullover with Diamond Pattern
Size: 8-10 (US 4-6).
Materials:
Yarn: 400 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 280 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles size 3 mm (US 2,5).
Rib Pattern:
Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 throughout.
Stocking stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.
Garter st (gst): RS and WS rows K.
Diamond Pattern:
Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Repeat Rows 1-30 throughout.
Sleeve Pattern:
Work according to chart 3. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Repeat Rows 1-22 throughout.
Back:
Cast on 98 sts, then work 4 rows in garter st and in Rib Patt for 5 cm.
Then change to St st.
Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 45 cm from beg, bind off 3 sts once at each end, then 2 sts each side every other row once, 2 sts once, 1 stitch twice.
When piece measures 65 cm from beg, bind off all sts.
Front:
Cast on 98 sts, then work 4 rows in garter st and in Rib Patt for 5 cm.
Continue in Diamond Patt = 4 rows reps.
Cont working in St st throughout.
Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 45 cm from beg, bind off 3 sts once at each end, then 2 sts each side every other row once, 2 sts once, 1 stitch twice.
Neckline shaping: When piece measures 59 cm from beg, bind off center 15 sts and complete both sides separately.
For rounding at inside edge, bind off 3 sts every other row once, 2 sts once and 1 stitch 3 times.
When piece measures 65 cm from beg, bind off all sts.
Sleeves:
Cast on 48 sts, then work 1 rows in garter st and in Rib Patt for 5 cm.
Continue in Sleeve Patt.
Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1stitch each side every 10th row 8 times.
Cap Shaping: When piece measures 35 cm from beg, bind off 3 sts once at each end, then 2 sts each side every other row once, 1stitch 15 times and 2 sts once.
When piece measures 51 cm from beg, bind off remaining sts.
Finishing:
Sew the right shoulder seam.
Collar: Pick up sts evenly around neck edge. Work in Sleeve Patt. When collar measures 20 cm from pick up row, work 4 rows in gst and bind off all sts.
Sew left shoulder seam and collar seam.
Sew side seams.
Sew in sleeves, join sleeve seams.
