Pullover in Lace Patterns
Materials:
Yarn: 300 g (100% Mercerized Cotton, yardage = 220 m / 100g); 1 pair quick knit needles size 4.5 mm (US 7), crochet hook size 4.
Rib Patt: K1, P1 Rib.
Cable Lace Pattern:
Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Repeat Rows 1-14 throughout.
Lace Pattern:
Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.
Beg with 1 selv st, rep patt, end with 1 selv st. On edges, work only K2tog or skpo instead of s2kpo.
Repeat Rows 1-32 throughout.
Gauge: 18 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Cast on 85 sts and work as foll: selv st, 18 sts in St st, sts 1-9 in Cable Lace Pattern, 29 sts in Lace Pattern, sts 9-17 in Cable Lace Pattern, 18 sts in St st, selv st.
Armhole Shaping: When piece meas 36 cm from beg, at each end bind off on every other row 3 sts once, 2 sts once, and 1 st once (= 73 sts).
Neckline Shaping: When work meas 50 cm from beg, bind off centre 27 sts and complete both sides separately.
For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts twice and 1 st twice.
When piece measures 55 cm from beg, bind off rem 14 sts each side for shoulders.
Front:
Work as given for back, but for neck shaping, after 50 cm from beg, bind off center 23 sts and complete both sides separately.
For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts twice and 1 st 4 times.
When piece measures 57 cm from beg, bind off rem 14 sts each side for shoulders.
Sleeve:
Cast on 39 sts and work 2 cm in Rib Patt.
Cont as foll: selv st, 10 sts in St st, 17 sts in Cable Lace Pattern, 10 sts in St st, selv st.
For sleeve shaping inc 1st at each end on every 6th row 14 times = 67 sts.
Cap Shaping: When work meas 40 cm from beg, bind off at each end 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 1 st 3 times, 2 sts 3 times, 3 sts 3 times and rem 17 sts once.
Rep for other sleeve.
Finishing:
Sew side seams, sleeve seams and set in sleeves.
With crochet hook, work 3 rnds of sc (single crochet) around neck edge.
