Pullover in Lace Pattern with Cables

Sizes: 14/16 (US 10/12)

Materials: 

Yarn: 450 g  (50% Alpaca, 50% Wool; yardage = 50 g / 183 m); quick knit needles sizes 4 and 3.5 mm (US 6 and 4) and 1 circular needle size 3.5 mm (US 4).

Rib Patt: K1, P1 Rib.

Gauge: 20 sts and 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Stockinette stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st): Work RS rows P and WS rows K.

Lace Pattern with Cables:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Repeat Rows 1-8 thoughout.

Cable Pattern:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-6 thoughout.

Center Pattern:

Work according to chart 3. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Repeat Rows 1-12 thoughout.

Back: 

Cast on 89 sts and work as foll: selv st, 2 sts in Rev st st, 23 sts in Lace Pattern with Cables, 8 sts in Cable Pattern, 21 sts in Center Pattern, 8 sts in Cable Pattern,  23 sts in Lace Pattern with Cables, 2 sts in Rev st st, selv st. 

Armhole Shaping: After 42 cm from beg, bind off at each end 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st twice on every 2nd row = 75 sts.

Neckline Shaping: After 57 cm from beg, bind off center 19 sts and complete both sides separately. 

For rounding at inside edge bind off 5 sts once and 3 sts once on every 2nd row. 

After 59 cm from beg, bind off rem 20 sts each side for shoulders.

Front: 

Work as given for back, but for neckline, after 52 cm from beg, bind off center 13 sts and complete both sides separately. 

For rounding at inside edge bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts 3 times and 1 st twice on every 2nd row. 

After 59 cm from beg, bind off rem 20 sts each side for shoulders.

Sleeve: 

Using needles size 3.5 mm, cast on 35 sts and work 10 cm in Rib Patt. Inc 22 sts evenly across last WS row = 57 sts.

Cont as foll: selv st, 8 sts in St st, 8 sts in Cable Pattern, 23 sts in Lace Pattern with Cables, 8 sts in Cable Pattern, 8 sts in St st, selv st. 

Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1 stitch each side every 6th row 10 times, then 1 stitch every 4th row twice = 81 sts.

Cap Shaping: When piece measures 47 cm from beg, at each end bind off 3 sts once, then 2 sts once, 1 st 4 times, 2 sts once, 3 sts twice, 5 sts once and rem 37 sts once on every 2nd row.

Finishing: 

Close shoulder seams. 

With circular needle, cast on 110 sts evenly around neck edge from RS and work 4 cm in Rib Patt. Bind off sts. 

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
