Yarn: 500 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, approx 250 m per 100 g ball); one pair quick knit needles size 3 mm (US 2,5)and crochet hook size 2 mm (US B).
Garter stitch: Knit on RS and WS rows.
Herringbone Pattern:
Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.
Repeat Rows 1 - 4 throughout.
Lace Pattern:
Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.
Work rows 1 - 76 once.
Gauge over lace pattern: 24 sts and 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Back:
Cast on 120 sts and work 2 rows in garter st.
Cont in Lace Patt for 78 rows, then work in Herringbone Pattern for 88 rows.
Neckline Shaping: In Row 167 from beg, bind off center 40 sts and complete both sides separately.
In Row 175 from beg, bind off all sts.
Front: Work same as back.
Neckline Shaping: In Row 139 from beg, bind off center 40 sts and complete both sides separately.
In Row 175 from beg, bind off all sts.
Sleeves:
Cast on 80 sts and work 2 rows in garter st.
Cont in Lace Patt for 22 rows, then work in Herringbone Pattern for 22 rows.
In Row 47 from beg, bind off all sts.
Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves, join side and sleeve seams.
With RS facing and crochet hook, work evenly around neck edge as foll:
Rnd 1 - 3: single crochet (sc);
Rnd 4: * 3 dc (double crochet) in next sc, 3 sc in each of next 3 sc, rep from *.
Join every row with sl st (slip stitch) to first st.
