Size: 10/12 (US 8/10).

Materials:

Yarn: 260 g (100% Alpaca, yardage = 190 m/50 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 2 mm (US 0); cable needle.

Rib Pattern: alt K1, P1.

Lace Cable Pattern:

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Beg with sts before patt, rep patt, end with sts after patt.

Repeat Rows 1-52 throughout.

Gauge: 25 sts and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 106 sts and work 10 rows in Rib Patt.

Distribute sts as foll: selv st, P3, 98 sts in Lace Cable Patt (2 sts from arrow A to arrow B, 96 sts from arrow B to arrow C), P3, selv st.

Armhole Shaping: On Row 141 from Rib Patt, bind off 18 sts at each end = 70 sts.

Neckline Shaping: On Row 185 from Rib Patt, bind off center 26 sts and complete both sides separately.

On Row 197 from Rib Patt, bind off rem 22 shoulder sts.

Front:

Work like back, but with deeper neckline.

Neckline Shaping: On Row 169 from Rib Patt, bind off center 26 sts and complete both sides separately.

On Row 197 from Rib Patt, bind off rem 22 shoulder sts.

Sleeves:

Sew one shoulder seam.

Pick up 90 sts along armhole edge and distribute sts as foll: selv st, P4, * yo, K2tog, P3, rep from * twice, 50 sts in Lace Cable Patt (2 sts from arrow A to arrow B, 48 sts from arrow B to arrow C), * P3, yo, K2tog, rep from * twice, P4, selv st.

Sleeve Slant: On Row 29, bind off 1 stitch at each end, then 1 st 11 times on every 6th row = 66 sts.

Beg with row 113, work 10 rows in Rib Pattern.

On Row 123 from beg, bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Sew side and sleeve seams.

With circular needle, pick up 116 sts evenly around neck edge and work 6 rnds in Rib Patt, then bind off all sts as they appear.
