Pullover in Garter Stitch with Cables

pulloverSize: 10/12 (US 6/8).

Materials:

Yarn: 400 g Vita Sapphire (45% Luster Wool, 55 % Acrylic, yardage = 250 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 4.5 mm (US 7).

Garter st: RS and WS rows K.

Rib Pattern: alt K2, P2 Rib.

Cable (over 8 sts): 

Work according to chart 1 and 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1-10 throughout.

Triangle Pattern: Work acc to chart 3.

Gauge:  

over gst: 20 sts and 26 rows = 10 x 10 сm.

Back: 

Cast on 90 sts and work as foll: 30 sts in Rib Patt, 30 sts in gst, 30 sts in Rib Patt.

On Row 25 from beg work as foll: 30 sts in Triangle Pattern, 30 sts in gst, 30 sts in Triangle Pattern.

Armhole Shaping: On Row 135 from beg, bind off 8 sts at each end = 82 sts.

Neck Shaping: On Row 35 from beg of armholes, bind off center 30 sts and on either side of them 1 stitch twice every other row.

On Row 45 from beg of armholes, bind off rem 24 sts each side for shoulders.

Front: 

Work as given for back, but for neck shaping on Row 25 from beg of armholes bind off center 24 sts and on either side of them 1 stitch 4 times every other row.

On Row 45 from beg of armholes, bind off rem 24 sts each side for shoulders.

Left Sleeve: 

Cast on 44 sts and work as foll: 16 sts in Rib Patt, 12 sts in Cable Pattern 1, 16 sts in Rib Patt.

On Row 63 from beg, inc 10 sts evenly spaced across = 54 sts.

Next, work in garter st.

Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1 st at each end on Row 6 from beg of gst, then 1 st on every 6th row 7 times = 70 sts.

On Row 81 from beg, bind off all sts.

Rep for other sleeve. Work cable acc to chart 2.

Finishing:

Close shoulder seams. 

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.

Neck Band: Using circular needle, pick up 80 sts evenly around neck edge and work 10 rnds in Rib Patt. Bind off sts.
