Long Sweater with Cables

Size: 16/18 (US 12/14)

Materials: 

Yarn: 600 g (100% Wool, yardage = 90 m/50 g); 1 pair quick knit needles and 1 circular needle, both size 3.5 mm (US 4).

Gauge: 19 sts and 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back/Front: 

Cast on 79 sts and distribute sts betw selv sts as indicated in chart 1. Only right part of chart is shown. Work in reverse from center st. 

Selv sts are not shown in chart. 

Work to the end of chart (= 42 cm in height) and cont in patt acc to chart 2. 

At the same time, for raglan slants, on either side dec 1 st twice on every RS row, once on 2nd RS row, 14 times on every 3d row and 2 sts once as shown in chart (dec sts in reverse on left side).  

When piece measures 62 cm from beg, put aside rem 41 sts. 

Sleeve: 

Cast on 47 sts and work as foll: selv st, * K2, P2, K2, P2, K3, P2, rep from * 3 times, K2, P2, K2, selv st. 

Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1 stitch each side every 10th row 9 times = 65 sts. 

When piece measures 42 cm from beg, cont in patt acc to chart 3. Work in reverse from center st. For raglan slants, on either side dec 1 st 18 times on every RS row acc to chart.

When piece measures 62 cm from beg, put aside rem 29 sts.  

Rep for other sleeve.

Finishing: 

Place sts of all pieces onto circular needle (sts of sleeves on either side between sts of front and back). Work collar as shown on rows above chart 2. Knit selv sts tog = 140 sts. 

When work measures 18 cm from beg, work 2 rows in Rev st st, 3 rows in St st, 3 rows in Rev st st, 2 rows in St st and bind off sts. 

Sew side, sleeve and raglan seams.
