Long Pullover with Lace Cables

Sizes: 10/12 (US 6/8).

Materials: 

Yarn: 450 g (50% Wool, 50% Acrylic, yardage = 100 g/250 m); quick knit needles sizes 4 and 4.5 mm (US 6 and 7) and 1 circular needle size 4 mm (US 6).

Rib Pat: K2, P2 Rib.

Cable Pattern:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Rep rows 1-42 throughout.

Leaf Pattern:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Rep rows 1-26 throughout.

Center Pattern:

Work according to chart 3. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Repeat rows 1-12 throughout.

Gauge: 23 sts and 26.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: 

Using needles size 4 mm, cast on 112 sts and work 7 cm in Rib Patt. 

Using needles size 4.5 mm, cont as foll: selv st, P8, 10 sts in Cable Pattern, 7 sts in Leaf Pattern, 10 sts in Cable Pattern, P8, 24 sts in Center Pattern (= 3 patt reps), P8, 10 sts in Cable Pattern, 7 sts in Leaf Pattern, 10 sts in Cable Pattern, P8, selv st. 

Note: 

The number of sts on rows varies in Leaf Pattern, so the number of sts on Row 1 is used while calculating = 7 sts.  

Waist Shaping: Dec 1 stitch on each side of Center Pattern every 6th row 8 times and 1 stitch at selv sts every 20th row 4 times = 88 sts. 

Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 61 cm from beg, at each end bind off 4 sts, then 2 sts twice and 1 st 3 times on every 2nd row = 66 sts. 

Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 77 cm from beg, bind off center 18 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 2 sts twice and rem 20 sts for shoulders once.

Front: 

Work as given for back, but for neckline, after 71 cm from beg, bind off center 12 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st twice. 

After 80 cm from beg, bind off rem 20 sts each side for shoulders.

Sleeves: 

Using needles size 4 mm, cast on 52 sts and work 7 cm in Rib Patt. 

Using needles size 4.5 mm, cont as foll: selv st, P13, 24 sts in Center Pattern (= 3 patt reps), P13, selv st. 

Sleeve Shaping: Inc 1 stitch every 10th row 9 times at each end = 70 sts.

Cap Shaping: When piece measures 48 cm from beg, at each end bind off 4 sts, then 2 sts twice, 1 st 10 times, 2 sts twice, 3 sts twice and rem 14 sts once on every 2nd row.

Finishing: 

Close shoulder seams.

With circular needle, pick up 100 sts and work 2.5 cm in Rib Patt. Sew open sts to neckline edge. 

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
