Long Pullover in Lace Pattern
Sizes: 12/14 (US 10/12)
Materials:
Yarn: 400 g (80% alpaca, 20 % wool, 300 m per 50 g ball); one pair quick knit needles size 4 mm (US 6)and crochet hook size 2,5 mm (US B).
The pullover is worked with double strand.
Rib Pattern: K1, P1 Rib.
Lace Pattern:
Work according to chart. RS and WS rows are shown.
Repeat rows 1-12 throughout.
Gauge:
with double strand in Lace Pattern: 24 sts and 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
The pullover is worked side to side from the right sleeve to the left.
Right sleeve:
Cast on 50 sts and work 22 rows in Rib Patt.
Continue in Lace Patt.
Sleeve Shaping: On Row 7 from border, inc 1 stitch at each end, then 1 stitch every 8th row twice, 1 stitch every 6th row 4 times, 1 stitch every 4th row 5 times, 1 stitch every other row 5 times, 2 sts 5 times, 3 sts 5 times, 4 sts 4 times, 5 sts 3 times, 6 sts once, 8 sts once, 10 sts once, 39 sts once = 322 sts.
Cont to work 40 rows even in Lace Pattern.
On Row 161 from border divide the work in the middle: 161 sts - back and 161 sts - front.
Back (over 161 sts):
Work 52 rows even in Lace Patt and set aside.
Front:
Neckline Shaping: On Row 161 from Rib Patt, bind off 2 sts at left edge, then 2 sts every other row once, 1 stitch 3 times = 154 sts.
Cont to work 32 rows in Lace Pattern.
Neckline Shaping: On Row 173 from border, inc 1 stith at left edge, then 1 stich every other row twice, 2 sts twice = 161 sts.
Then work 30 rows in Lace Pattern.
On Row 213 from border, place the sts on holder to needle = 322 sts and work in reverse.
Cont to work 40 rows even in Lace Pattern.
Left sleeve:
Sleeve Shaping: On Row 253 from border, bind off 39 sts at each end, then 10 sts every other row once, 8 sts once, 6 sts once, 5 sts 3 times, 4 sts 4 times, 3 sts 5 times, 2 sts 5 times,1 stitch 5 times, 1 stitch every 4th row 5 times, 1 stitch every 6th row 4 times, 1 stitch every 8th row 3 times = 50 sts.
Beg with row 373, work 22 rows in Rib Pattern.
On Row 417 from beg, bind off all sts.
Finishing:
Sew one side seam.
Bottom Band: Pick up 204 sts evenly around lower edge and work 20 rows in Rib Pat. Bind off all sts.
With crochet hook, work 1 row crab st (= sc from left to right) evenly around neck edge.
Join row with sl st (slip stitch) to first st.
