Lace Yoke Tunic

Materials:

Yarn: 300 g (40% mohair, 60% acrylic, yardage = 550 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size US 2,5 (3 mm).

Garter stitch: Knit on RS and WS rows.

Rib Pattern: alt K1, P1.

Fancy Rib Patt: *K5, P2; rep from *.

Lace Pattern:

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.

Gauge:

in Fancy Rib Patt: 19 sts and 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

in Lace Pattern: 17 sts and 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 105 sts and work 91 rows in Fancy Rib Patt.

On Row 92 from beg, bind off 28 sts evenly spaced across = 77 sts.

Next, work 6 rows in garter st and 24 rows in Lace Patt.

For side slants, on 100th row from beg, inc 1 st on each side, then on every 4th row 1 st 3 times = 85 sts.

Armhole Shaping: On Row 123 from beg, bind off 5 sts at each end, then on every 2nd row 2 sts once and 1 st once = 69 sts.

Neckline Shaping: On Row 165 from beg, bind off center 25 sts and on either side of them 3 sts twice and 2 sts once on every 2nd row.

On Row 173 from beg, bind off rem 14 sts of each shoulder.

Front:

Work like back, but with deeper neckline.

On Row 149 from beg, bind off center 21 sts and, on either side of them, bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts twice and 1 st 3 times on every 2nd row.

On Row 173 from beg, bind off rem 14 sts of each shoulder.

Sleeves:

Cast on 40 sts and work 6 rows in garter st.

Cont to work 104 rows in Lace Pattern.

Sleeve Shaping: On Row 15 from garter st, inc 1 stitch at each end, then 1 st 13 times on every 4th row = 68 sts.

Cap Shaping: On Row 105 from garter st, bind off 5 sts at each end, then 2 sts once, 1 st 13 times, 2 sts twice, 3 sts twice on every 2nd row = 8 sts. 

On Row 143 from garter st, bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Sew shoulder seams.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.

With circular needle, pick up 100 sts evenly around neck edge and work 18 rnds in Rib Pat, bind off all sts.

Fold neckband to wrong side and sew in place.
