Jacket with Lace Border

Size: L 

Materials: 

Yarn: 200 g (15% Wool, 85% Acrylic, yarage = 350 m/50 g); 1 pair quick knit needles size US 0 (2 mm).

Lace Edging:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Work Row 1 - 28 once.

Lace Border:

Work acc to charts 2 and 3. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Stockinette stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Lace Pattern: selv st, * skpo, yo, K1, yo, K2tog, yo, rep from *.

Tension:

over St st: 22 sts and 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: 

Cast on 99 sts and work Lace Edging to acc chart 1.

Cont until work measures 12 cm from beg, then work in St st. 

When piece measures 33 cm from beg, bind off 1 st 10 times on every 2nd row for the Armhole.

Then work 14 cm even. 

Neck Shaping: After 43 cm from beg, bind off the center 23 sts and complete both sides separately.   

Bind off on every 2nd row 1 st once, 1 st twice and 1 st 3 times at neck edge for inner rounding.  

When Armhole measures 18 cm, bind off rem sts each side for shoulders. 

Complete to match first side of neck, reversing all shaping.

Left Front: 

Cast on 50 sts and work as foll: selv st, work 12-st rep 3 times according to chart 1, K1, work 11-st rep according to chart 2, selv st.

When piece measures 12 cm from beg, work over stitches of Lace Edging in St st.

Work in pat as established, working armhole shaping at RH side same as Back. 

V-neck shaping: At the same time, before the Lace Border dec 1 st every 3rd row (work SKP = sl 1 knitwise, k1, then pass sl st over k1). 

When Armhole measures 18 cm, bind off rem sts each side for shoulders. 

Right Front: 

Work in reverse, i.e. for the V-neck shaping, after the Lace Border, dec 1 st every 3rd row (work k every 2nd and 3rd sts tog once)

Sleeves: 

Cast on 86 sts and work 40 rows in Lace Border acc to chart 3. 

Then work 72 rows in Lace Pattern. 

Cap Shaping: After 48 cm from beg, bind off 6 sts once and 1 st 7 times on every 2nd row at both ends.  

Work even. 

Beg from Cap Shaping, work sleeve top in pat  acc to chart 3. 

Finishing: 

Sew shoulder seams.

Set in sleeves, sew side and sleeve seams.
