Hooded Pullover with Lace Pattern

Sizes: 12/14

Materials: 

Yarn: 500 g (50% viscose, 50% polyacrylic, 300m per 100g skein); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle size 4mm and crochet hook size 3.5mm.  

Stockinette stitch (St st): K on RS rows, P on WS rows.

Border Pattern:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Work Rows 1 - 14 once.

Lace Pattern:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Repeat rows 1-24 throughout.

Cable:

Work according to chart 3. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts P.

Repeat rows 1 and 2.

Trellis Lace:

Work according to chart 4. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts and yos P.

Repeat rows 1 - 4.

Gauge: 20 sts and 24.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm. 

Back: 

Cast on 98 sts and work 14 R in Border Pattern (8 patt reps + 2 selv sts). 

Cont as foll: selvage st, 24 sts in St st, 23 sts in Lace Pat, 2 sts Cable, 23 sts in Lace Pat, 24 sts in St st, selvage st.  

For the Armhole Shaping, after 40 cm from beg, bind off at each end 3 sts once, then 1 stitch every other row twice = 88 sts.  

When piece measures 60 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Front: 

Work as given for back, but for the Neck Shaping, after 40 cm from beg, divide work at center and complete both sides separately.

When piece measures 55 cm from beg, bind off at neck edge 16 sts and 5 sts every other row once, 3 sts once and 1 stitch twice for inner rounding. 

When piece measures 60 cm from beg, bind off rem 18 sts each side for shoulders.

Sleeve: 

Cast on 62 sts and work in Trellis Lace. 

Cont until work meas 44 cm from cast on. Shape top: cast off 5 sts at each end of next row, 3 sts on 1 foll alt row and 2 sts on 1 foll alt row, 1 st on 17 foll alt rows, 2 sts on 1 foll alt row, 3 sts foll 1 alt row and cast off rem 19 sts. 

Repeat for other sleeve.

Finishing: 

Sew shoulder seams.

Hood: Pick up sts evenly along neck edge and work 28 cm in Trellis Lace.

Fold hood in half and graft together. 

Sew shoulder seams, set in sleeves. 

Sleeve cuff: Along lower edge of sleeves, with RS facing and crochet hook, work 5 cm sc (single crochet), on Row 1 slightly to fit.  

Tie-bands (make 2): With crochet hook, make ch and work 1 Row sc (single crochet).
