Dress with Yoke in Fancy Pattern

Size: 12/14 (US 8/10).

Materials:

Yarn: 700-800 g (50% Wool, 50%% Acrylic, yardage = 280 m/100 g); one pair quick knit needles and one circular needle, both size 4 mm (US 6).

Stockinette stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Rib Pattern: K2, P2 Rib.

Fancy Pattern: 

Work acc to сhart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.

Repeat Rows 1-12 throughout.

Back: 

Cast on 90 sts and work 7 cm in Rib Patt. Inc evenly 16 sts across last WS row = 106 sts.

Cont in St st. 

Neckline Shaping: After 83 cm from cast on, bind off center 36 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge bind off 5 sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st once. 

When piece measures 86 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Front: 

Cast on 90 sts and work 7 cm in Rib Patt. Inc evenly 18 sts across last WS row = 108 sts.

Cont in St st.

When piece measures 47 cm from cast on, at left edge work 1 patt rep in Fancy Pattern. Cont to work rem sts in St st.  

After every 12 rows move Fancy Pattern along 1 patt rep. 

Neckline Shaping: After 80 cm from cast on, bind off center 38 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge bind off 5 sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st once. 

When piece measures 86 cm from beg, bind off all sts.

Sleeve: 

Close shoulder seams.

Pick up sts evenly along upper side edge of front and back (at 20 cm from shoulder seam) and work in Rib Patt. 

Work even. 

When piece measures 25 cm from cast on, bind off all sts. 

Finishing: 

Sew side and sleeve seams.

Neckband: With circular needle, pick up sts evenly around neck edge and work 4 cm in Rib Patt. Then bind off all sts as they appear.
