Dress in Fancy Pattern

Sizes: M/L

Materials:

Yarn: 280 g (100% mercerized cotton, 240 m/50 g); one pair knit needles and one circular needle, both size 2.5 mm (US 1.5).

Reverse stockinette stitch (Rev st st): P on RS rows; K on WS rows.

For all Fancy Patterns 

Fancy Pattern A: 

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown. 

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Fancy Pattern B: 

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown. 

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Gauge:

over Fancy Patterns A and B: 24 sts and 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: 

Cast on 121 sts + 2 selv sts and work 4 rows in Rev St st. 

Then work 162 rows in Fancy Pattern A.

On Row 167 from beg, bind off evenly 16 sts = 107 sts.

Continue in Fancy Pattern B.

Armhole Shaping: On Row 217 from cast on, bind off 4 sts at each end, then 3 sts once, 2 sts twice and 1 stitch 4 times on every 2nd row = 77 sts.

Neckline Shaping: On Row 261 from cast on, bind off center 23 sts and then 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st 6 times on every 2nd row on either side of them = 16 sts.

On Row 279 from cast on, bind off all sts.

Front: 

Work like back, but with deeper neckline.

Neckline Shaping: On Row 235 from cast on, bind off center 17 sts and then, on either side of them, 2 sts 3 times on every 2nd row and 1 st 8 times on every 4th row = 16 sts.

On Row 279 from cast on, bind off 16 sts each side for shoulder.

Left Shoulder: Work in same way.

Finishing:

Sew shoulder seams.

With circular needle, pick up 150 sts evenly around neck edge and work 4 rnds in Rev St st. Bind off all sts. 

Pick up 436 sts evenly along right side edge of front, around armhole edge, and along right side edge of back and work 4 rnds in Rev St st. Bind off all sts.

Repeat for left side.

Lace (2 pieces): 

Cut 4 threads, each 150 cm long. Fold in half and twist. 

Work lacing on each side of dress as shown in photo.
