Dress in Fancy Pattern

Size: 10/12 (US 8/10).

Materials:

Yarn: 500 g (100% mercerized cotton, 270 m per 100 g ball); one pair quick knit needles size 3 mm (US 2,5) and crochet hook size 1,5 mm (US B). 

Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st): Work RS rows P and WS rows K.

Fancy pattern: 

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Gauge:

in Fancy Pattern: 25 sts and 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

over rev st st: 24 sts and 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: 

Cast on 200 sts and work as foll: selv st, 10 sts in rev st st,  

Dress Shaping: On rnd 14 from beg, dec 1 stitch before and after every Fancy Patt, then 2 sts every 14th row 10 times = 116 sts. 

From Row 168 work even according to chart.

Armhole Shaping: On Row 181 from beg, inc 2 sts at each end, then 2 sts every other row once and 1 stitch 3 times = 130 sts.  

Work inc'd sts as foll: * P1, K1 tbl, rep from * 2 times, P1.

Neck Shaping: On Row 268 from beg, bind off center 34 sts and at both sides of them 4 sts every other row once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 stitch once. 

On Row 277 from beg, bind off rem 37 sts each side for shoulders.

Front: Work same as back.

Finishing:

Sew side seam and join shoulder seams.

With crochet hook, work 1 rnd crab st (= sc from left to right) around armholes and neck edge.

Join row with sl st (slip stitch) to first st.
