Coat with Fancy Pattern

Size: M

Materials:

Yarn: 900 g (100% Wool); needles size 5 mm (US 8).

Rib Pattern: alt K1, P1.

Garter stitch: Knit on RS and WS rows.

St st: K on RS rows, P on WS rows.

Fancy Pattern 1:

Row 1: * K10, 1 yo, s2kpo (sl 2 tog kwise, K1, pass two slipped stitches over, with center stitch over), 1 yo, rep from * to end of row.

Row 2: Purl. 

Fancy Pattern 2: 

Rows 1-4: Work in garter st.

Row 5: * K2, 1 yo, K2tog ; rep from * to end of row.

Row 6: Knit.

Rows 7-10: Work in garter st.

Fancy Pattern 3: Work according to chart.

Gauge:

over St st: 15 sts and 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 70 sts and work 2 rows in gst.

Then cont in alternation of patterns as foll: 10 rows in Fancy Pattern 3, 10 rows in Fancy Pattern 2, 11 cm in Fancy Pattern 1, 10 rows in Fancy Pattern 2, 2 row reps (= 20 rows) in Fancy Pattern 3, 10 rows in Fancy Pattern 2, end with St st.  

Armhole Shaping: At the same time, when work measures 63 cm from beg, bind off 5 sts on either side. 

When armhole measures 19 cm, bind off rem sts.

Right Front:

Cast on 41 sts and work 11 sts in Rib Patt for band. Work rem 31 sts as described for back.

Armhole Shaping: When work measures 63 cm from beg, bind off 5 sts on left side.

At the same time, after 11 sts of rib, dec 1 st at right end on every 2nd row until there are 8 sts of St st left. 

When armhole measures 19 cm, bind off rem sts.

Left Front: Work in reverse.

Sleeves:

Cast on 36 sts and work 4 rows in garter st.

Then cont in alternation of patterns as foll: 10 rows in Fancy Pattern 3, 10 rows in Fancy Pattern 2, 9 cm in Fancy Pattern 1, 10 rows in Fancy Pattern 2.  

Then work in St st. For sleeve slants, inc 1 st 6 times on every 6th row each side. 

When work measures 47 cm, bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Sew all seams and set in sleeves. 

At height of 1st dec on fronts, pick up sts around neckline edge and work 13 cm in Rib Patt.  

Then bind off all sts loosely in pat.
