Materials:
Yarn: 1150/1200/1300/1400/1500 g (100% Wool, yardage = 50 m/50 g); quick knit needles size 6 and 7 mm (US 4 and 4.5), 1 cable needle, 7 buttons.
Large Seed Stitch: alt K1, P1. Move pattern after each 2nd row.
Cross Rib Pattern:
Row 1: * P1, K1 tbl, rep from *.
Row 2: * P1 tbl, K1, rep from *.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 throughout.
Center Pattern:
Work according to chart.
Rep rows 1-28 throughout.
Average gauge with 7 mm needles: 16 sts and 18 rows = 10 x 10 сm;
over Seed Stitch with 7 mm needles: 13 sts and 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
over Center Pattern: 33 sts = 16 cm.
Back:
Using 7 mm needles, cast on 77/83/89/95/105 sts and work 5 cm in Cross Rib Pattern.
Cont as foll: selv st, 21/24/27/30/35 sts in Large Seed Stitch, 33 sts in Center Patt, 21/24/27/30/35 sts in Large Seed Stitch, selv st.
At the same time, for side slants, bind off 1 st 6 times at both ends on every 14th row = 65/71/77/83/93 sts.
Armhole Shaping: After 60 cm from cast on, at both ends bind off 2 sts once, 1 st twice / 3 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 st once / 3 sts once, 2 sts twice / 3 sts twice, 2 sts once, 1 st once / 3 sts 3 times, 2 sts once, 1 st once on every 2nd row = 57/59/63/65/69 sts.
When piece measures 77/78/79/80/81 cm from beg, for neckline shaping, bind off center 17 sts and complete both sides separately.
For rounding at inside edge bind off 5 sts once on next 2nd row.
When piece measures 79/80/81/82/83 cm from cast on, bind off rem 15/16/18/19/21 sts each side for shoulders.
Right Front:
Using 7 mm needles, cast on 45/48/51/54/59 sts and work 5 cm in Cross Rib Pattern.
Cont as foll: selv st, 33 sts in Center Patt, 10/13/16/19/24 sts in Large Seed Stitch, selv st.
At the same time, for side slant, bind off sts at left end like for back = 39/42/45/48/53 sts.
Armhole Shaping: When piece measures 60 cm from beg, at left end bind off sts as for back = 35/36/38/39/41 sts.
Neckline Shaping: When piece measures 73/74/75/76/77 cm from cast on, at right end bind off 6 sts once, 5 sts once, 4 sts once, 3 sts once and 2 sts once on every 2nd row.
When piece measures 79/80/81/82/83 cm from cast on, bind off rem 15/16/18/19/21 sts each side for shoulders.
Left Front: Work in reverse.
Sleeves:
Using 7 mm needles, cast on 47/47/51/51/51 sts and work 4 cm in Cross Rib Pattern.

At the same time, for sleeve shaping, at both ends inc 1 st 5 times on every 10th row, 1 st once on every 8th row / 1 st once on every 10th row, 1 st 6 times on every 8th row / 1 st once on every 10th row, 1 st 6 times on every 8th row / 1 st 3 times on every 8th row, 1 st 6 times on every 6th row / 1 st 9 times on every 6th row, 1 st twice on every 4th row = 59/61/65/69/73 sts.
Cap Shaping: After 43 cm from cast on, at both ends bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts 4 times, 1 st 7 times, 2 sts once, 3 sts once / 3 sts once, 2 sts 5 times, 1 st 6 times, 2 sts once, 3 sts once / 3 sts once, 2 sts 7 times, 1 st 4 times, 2 sts once, 3 sts once / 3 sts once, 2 sts 9 times, 1 st twice, 2 sts once, 3 sts once / 3 sts once, 2 sts 12 times, 3 sts once and 13 rem sts once on every 2nd row.
Finishing:
Fastening Band: With 6 mm needles, pick up 139/141/143/145/147 sts evenly around left front edge and work in Cross Rib Patt.
After 4 cm from RS bind off sts kwise.
Work right front band likewise, but when piece meas 2 cm, work 5 buttonholes (bind off 2 sts and cast them on again on foll row).
Work first buttonhole 39/41/43/45/47 sts over bottom edge; work other buttonholes at intervals of 22 sts respectively.
Close shoulder seams.
Collar: With 6 mm needle, pick up 81 sts (26 sts for each front and 29 sts for back) around neck edge and work in Cross Rib Patt.
After 2 cm and 6 cm from pick-up, at right end work 3 sts and 2 buttonholes.
When collar measures 8 cm, from RS bind off sts kwise.
Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
Sew on buttons.
