Cardigan in Lace Pattern

Size: 4XL

Materials:

Yarn: 600 g (40% Merino Wool, 40% Polyacrylic, 20% Cashmere, yardage = 200 m/50 g); one circular needle size 3 mm (US 2.5); 6 buttons to match colour of yarn.

Stocking stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Garter st (gst): RS and WS rows P.

Lace Pattern: 

Work acc to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown, on WS rows, work sts as they appear.

Note: 

Beg from top with neckline.

Working: 

Cast on 104 sts and work 3 cm in garter st.

Then cont as foll: selv st, right front - 10 sts in Lace Pattern, raglan line - 2 sts in gst, sleeve - 20 sts in Lace Pattern, raglan line - 2 sts in gst, back - 32 sts in St st, raglan line - 2 sts in gst, sleeve - 20 sts in Lace Pattern, raglan line - 2 sts in gst, left front - 10 sts in Lace Pattern.     

Work as described. At the same time, inc 1 st 26 times on every RS row on either side of raglan lines. 

Work inc'd sts of fronts and sleeves into patt acc to chart 1, sts of back into St st. 

Consequently, work 2 patt reps of sleeve on each front in complete patt. 

When work meas 25 cm from cast on, put sts of sleeves on holder. Cont working fronts and back in one piece. 

When work meas 75 cm from cast on, work 2 row reps across the width acc to chart 1, then work 3 cm in gst. 

When work meas 85 cm from cast on, bind off all sts. 

Place sts of sleeves on holder to needle and cont working.  

When work meas 30 cm from cast on, cont in gst. 

When work meas 33 cm from cast on, bind off all sts. 

Buckle Bands: Pick up sts from selv sts around outer edge of fronts and work 3 cm in garter st. 

At the same time, work buttonholes evenly spaced on right front band.
