Materials: 

Yarn: 550 g (50% Viscose, 50% Polyacrylic, yardage = 220 m/100 g), one pair knit needles and one circular needle, both size 3.5 mm (US 4).

Rib Pattern: K2, P2 Rib.

Stockinette stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Reverse stocking stitch (Rev St st): Work RS rows P and WS rows K.

Seed Stitch: alt K1, P1. Move pattern over 1 st on each row.

Cable: 

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Gauge: 

over Seed Stitch: 18 sts and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: 

Cast on 86 sts and work 10 rows in Rib Patt. 

Then work 2 rows in St st. Dec 14 sts evenly across 1st row = 72 sts. 

Continue in Seed Stitch.

Armhole Shaping: After 42 cm from beg, at each end bind off 3 sts once and 1 st 3 times on every 2nd row = 60 sts. 

Neckline Shaping: When armhole measures 18 cm from beg, bind off center 20 sts and complete both sides separately. 

For rounding at inside edge bind off 5 sts once on foll 2nd row. 

When armhole measures 19 cm from beg, bind off rem sts for shoulder. 

Front: 

Cast on 86 sts and work 10 rows in Rib Patt. 

Then work 2 rows in St st.

Work in foll divisions: selv st, 22 sts in Seed Stitch, 12 sts of Cable, 2 sts in Rev St st, 12 sts of Cable, 2 sts in Rev St st, 12 sts of Cable, 22 sts in Seed Stitch, selv st.

After 6 rows inc 1 st in each cable = 89 sts. 

Work 1st cable crossing on next RS row. 

Armhole Shaping: After 42 cm from beg, at each end bind off 3 sts once and 1 st 3 times on every 2nd row. 

Neckline Shaping: When armhole measures 7 cm from beg, bind off center 17 sts. Dec evenly 2 sts (= K2tog twice), then complete both sides separately. 

For rounding at inside edge bind off 5 sts once (work 2 of them tog) and 1 st 7 times on every 2nd row. 

When armhole measures 19 cm, bind off rem 15 sts for shoulder. 

Complete to match first side of neck, reversing all shaping.

Sleeves: 

Cast on 50 sts and work 10 rows in Rib Patt. 

Next, work 2 rows in St st. 

Cont as foll: selv st, 19 sts in Seed Stitch, 12 sts of Cable, 19 sts in Seed Stitch, selv st. 

After 6 rows inc 1 st in cable = 51 sts. 

Sleeve Shaping: After 15 cm, at each end inc 1 st and 1 st 6 times on every 12th row = 65 sts.

Cap Shaping: When piece measures 47 cm from beg, at both ends bind off 3 sts once, 1 st 20 times and rem 19 sts once on every 2nd row. 

Finishing: 

Sew shoulder seams.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.

Neckband: With circular needle, pick up 112 sts evenly around neck edge and work 8 rnds in Rib Patt. Then bind off sts tightly as they appear.
