Tunic with Lace and Lattice Pattern

Materials:

Yarn: 400 g (100% Cotton, yardage = 430 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles and 1 circular needle, both size 2 mm (US 0).

Stocking stitch (St st): Work RS rows K and WS rows P.

Lattice Pattern: 

Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P. 

Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout. 

Note:

Make sure that the number of yos are balanced by sts worked tog.

Lace Pattern: Multiple of 10 + 1 + 2 selv sts.

Work according to chart of Lace Pattern. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P. 

Beg with 1 selv st and sts before patt, rep patt, end with sts after patt and 1 selv st. 

Rep rows 1-24 throughout.

Gauge:

in Lace Pattern: 28 sts and 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: 

Cast on 163 sts working long-tail cast on, work 1 row P.

Cont to work 119 rows in Lace Pattern. 

Row 120 (WS): * P1, P2tog, rep from * = 111 sts. 

For yoke, work in patt as folls: 

Rows 121-122: Work in St st; 

Row 123: * K2tog, 1 yo, rep from * throughout;

Row 124: Work all sts and yos P; 

Rows 125-128: Work in St st. 

Then work 40 rows in Lattice Pattern. 

Armhole Shaping: On foll row, bind off 3 sts at each end, then 1 stitch 3 times on every 2nd row. 

Neckline Shaping: On Row 100 from patt change, bind off center 35 sts and, at each end of them, bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts once, 1 st once on every 2nd row. 

Cont until work meas 108 rows from patt change. Bind off rem sts for shoulder.

Front:

Work like back, but with deeper neckline. 

To do that, on Row 50 from patt change, bind off center 19 sts and, at each end of them, bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts 3 times, 1 st 5 times on every 2nd row. 

Cont until work meas 108 rows from patt change. Bind off rem sts for shoulder.

Sleeves:

Cast on 73 sts working long-tail cast on, work 1 row P.

Cont to work 46 rows in Lace Pattern. 

Cap Shaping: After 10 cm from cast on, bind off 4 sts at each end, and then 1 st twice on every 2nd row, 1 st 9 times on every 4th row, 1 st 3 times, 2 sts once and 3 sts once on every 2nd row.  

After 98 rows, bind off remaining 27 sts.

Finishing:

Sew shoulder seams.

Sew side and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves. 

With crochet hook, work 1 rnd sc and 1 rnd crab st (= sc from left to right) around neckline edge.

Work cord of arbitrary length and insert along yoke line.
