Yarn: 300 g (55% Cotton, 45% Acrilic, yardage = 160 m/50 g); 1 pair quick knit needles size 3 mm (US 2.5).
Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st): Work RS rows P and WS rows K.
Garter st: RS and WS rows K.
Rib Pattern: K1, P1 Rib.
Work according to chart. Only RS rows are shown.
On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.
Back / Front:
Cast on 41 sts and work 5 rows as foll: 6 sts in Rib Patt, 41 sts in gst, 5 sts in Rib Patt.
Cont as foll: 5 sts in Rib Patt, 13 sts in Lace Pattern, 5 sts in Basic Pattern, 13 sts in Lace Pattern, 5 sts in Rib Pattern.
For raglan shaping, make 3 sts out of centre st on every 2nd row. Work them as they appear on foll row.
Cont as established for 48 rows (= 89 sts).
Then work in Basic Pattern over sts of rib. At the same time, dec 1 st 20 times on either side on every 4th row.
After 133 rows, work 6 rows in gst and bind off sts.
Work rows rep for Lace Pattern 6 times, then switch to Basic Pattern.
After 4 reps, in the centre, beg to work in Lace Pattern over Basic Pattern sts. Work 2 sts in Basic Pattern on either side.
The last Lace Pattern strip meas 4 rows reps.
Thus, the length of the top measures exactly 128 rows from top to bottom gst.
Sew side seams.
For shoulder straps, fix 6 pairs of yarn 50 cm long at upper corners and work a braid.
