Materials:

Yarn: 350 g (20% Pure Silk, 80% Cotton, yardage = 300 m/100 g); 1 pair quick-knit needles size 3.5 (US 4) and crochet hook size 2.5 (US C).

Stockinette stitch (St st): K on RS rows, p on WS rows.

Leaf Pattern:

Work according to chart 1. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Lace Pattern:

Work according to chart 2. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows, work all sts and yos P.

Center Pattern:

Work according to chart 3. Only RS rows are shown.

On WS rows work all sts as they appear, purl yos.

Gauge: 23 sts and 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 95 sts and work as foll: selv st, 5 sts in St st, 17 sts in Leaf Pattern, 7 sts in Lace Pattern, 35 sts in Center Pattern, 7 sts in Lace Pattern, 17 sts in Leaf Pattern, 5 sts in St st, selv st. 

For shaping, after 15 cm inc 1st on either side on every 6th row 8 times = 111 sts. 

When piece measures 47 cm from beg, work even.

When piece measures 51 cm from beg, bind off center 39 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 2 sts 3 times.

When piece measures 53 cm from beg, bind off rem 30 sts each side for shoulders.

Front:

Work as given for back, but for the neckline, after 48 cm from beg, bind off center 35 sts and complete both sides separately.

For rounding at inside edge on every 2nd row bind off 3 sts once, 2 sts twice and 1 st once.

When piece measures 53 cm from beg, bind off rem 30 sts each side for shoulders.

Finishing:

Sew side and shoulder seams.

With crochet hook, work crab st (= sc from left to right) around armholes and neckline edge.
