Long Vest in Fancy Pattern

Sizes: 10/12 (US 8/10).

Materials:

Yarn: 800 g (100% Acrylic, yardage = 150 m/100 g); 1 pair quick knit needles size 5 mm (US 8).

Rib Patt: K1, * P1, K1, rep from *.

Reverse stocking stitch (Rev St st): work RS rows P and WS rows K. 

Stocking stitch (St st): work RS rows K and WS rows P. 

Fancy Pattern: 

Row 1 (WS): selv st, create **K1, P1, K1** from 1 st, P3tog, selv st.  

2nd and all further even rows: purl. 

Row 3: selv st, P3tog, create **K1, P1, K1** from foll st, selv st.  

Row 5: Rep Row 1. 

Cable Pattern 1 and 2: Work acc to charts.

On WS rows, work all sts as they appear.

Rep from * to *. 

Gauge over Fancy Pattern: 19 sts and 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back:

Cast on 74 sts and work in Rev St st.  

After 1 cm from cast on cont as foll: 26 sts in Fancy Pattern, 22 sts in Cable Pattern 2 acc to chart 2 and 26 sts in Fancy Pattern. 

After 80 cm from cast on bind off sts. 

Right Front:

Cast on 47 sts and work in Rev St st.

After 1 cm from cast on cont as foll: 5 sts in Rib Pattern, 14 sts in Fancy Pattern, 14 sts in Cable Pattern 1 acc to chart 1 and 14 sts in Fancy Pattern. 

Collar Shaping: After 44 cm from beg cast on 41 sts right side. Work new sts in Rib Pattern. 

After 54 cm from cast on shift Fancy Pattern to the right over 1 st every other row 4 times.  

Armhole Band Shaping: After 60 cm from beg cast on 5 sts left side. Work new sts in Rib Pattern.  

After 80 cm from cast on, bind off sts. 

Left Front: Work in reverse.

Finishing:

Join collar seam. Graft each front to half of back.  

Join side seams and armhole band seam.
