Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

How to knit Lace Stitch: 

Work with multiple of 6 stitches + 2 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 16 sts (1 + 6 + 6 + 1 + 2 edge sts) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only RS rows.

On WS rows, work all sts and yo’s P.

The pat rep = 6 sts wide.

Begin with 1 edge st and stitch before patt rep, work patt repeat throughout, end with stitch after patt and 1 edge st.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

Row 1: edge st, k1, * yo, sk2p, yo, k3, repeat from *, end with k1, edge st.

Row 3: edge st, k2tog, * yo, k1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, repeat from *, end with yo, edge st.

Row 5: edge st, k1, * k3, yo, sk2p, yo, repeat from *, end with k1, edge st.

Row 7: edge st, yo, * skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, repeat from *, end with skpo, edge st.

Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
